Trip to Utah - October 2009
David and I just got back from another trip to Utah. Dan and I have been saving all our frequent flyer miles so I could take as many trips out to see my family as I would like. Right now is the time to take advantage of flying while my baby is a good little traveler, plus my dad is sick and I want him to be able to see my baby as much as possible.
We packed in as many activities as possible, and despite everybody in my family having strep throat, bronchitis, and David getting pink eye, I think it was a successful trip!

David has the teeniest, tiniest feet you've ever seen. He is almost 6 months old and I can't find any real shoes that fit him. I finally found a pair of new born shoes that finally fit him - he's not sure what to make of it!
My brother Matt and his family came up one Sunday afternoon and I made Halloween chocolate suckers with his kids. I don't get to see them very often and when I do I try to treasure every moment I get with them.
I taught my dad how to make whole wheat bread....good job Pops!

First time for David eating baby food...he ate it like a champ! I couldn't shovel it in fast enough. So sad that this boy is already turning out like his mom & dad!

Thanks mom & dad for letting us crash your place for 2 weeks (and thanks to Aunt Nat for letting me take over her bedroom). We love coming home and look forward to another trip over Christmas!

My flight back to VA was delayed several hours and I wasn't sure I'd be able to make my connection in Dallas, so I stayed a few more days with my family. We had a time share condo in Park City, so my mom, sister Noelle & I took the kiddos up there for a few days until my flight left on Saturday. I was ready to get home, but I'm glad I decided to stay a few days because those were some of my fondest memories of the trip.

Fall Festivities
Yesterday Dan, David and I went to Marker Miller Farm Market to enjoy the fall weather. We picked pumpkins straight from the pumpkin patch, picked apples right off the tree, and stuffed our faces with kettle corn and other treats! It was a perfect day!

More pics of the boy
David is getting huge! He's 4 months and is already 16 pounds - what a monster! Here are some updated pictures of my little man.

.
This last picture was taken today at the movie theater. Every month a theater in town has "Mommy Movies" and mom's take their babies to the movie. I thought it would be a great way to see a movie and not have to get a babysitter, as well as getting in for a discount. It was a chaotic circus. Imagine a theater full (and I mean FULL) of moms and screaming babies while trying to watch a movie. Not only were babies crying, but the mom's thought it was acceptable to talk and chat during the whole movie. Next time I'll pay the full price and get a babysitter - so much more enjoyable...although, it was quite a sight to behold and worth doing once!

Summer Vacation
We just got back from a month long vacation to Utah, San Diego, and Arizona. It was a great break from the summer heat in Virginia, but it's good to be back home and sleeping in my own bed and not living out of suit cases. We did a lot of things while we were there...I'll let the pictures tell the story!

I took my niece Sophia to the Davis County Fair and we had a great time feeding animals, riding rides and eating tons of junk food

David and his namesake (Grandpa Dave)

David met lots of his cousins and aunts & uncles
Cousins Jakey, Hailey, and Emma (Matt's kids)

Cousin Anthony
Cousin Emma Lemma Ding Dong
Uncle Andrew
We had a pool party with Creer's, our favorite neighbors growing up.

My mom and I drove up to Idaho to see my grandparents. I was so glad Grandma & Grandpa got to meet little David!

We were in Utah for 2 1/2 weeks, then headed to San Diego for a week. It worked out perfectly because my family stayed in our time share, yet Dan's family lives there too so we got to spend a lot of time with both families. I love San Diego!
"The Reeves Clan"
Dan's family had a picnic at Mission Bay and a lot of the extended family came!
Thanks to cousin Benny for taking some great pictures.

Grandma Marilyn (Dan's mom) and cousins
Dan's mom & siblings
I may be biased, but I think I have the cutest baby on the planet
After San Diego we headed to HOT as HELL Arizona to see Dan's grandma and his aunts & uncles. We spent everyday in his grandma's pool and watching family movies from years past.

David and me in the pool. He fell asleep IN THE POOL two seconds after this photo was taken. I think he's the only baby that falls asleep in a pool....such a slug!
