When I got home from work last night there it was! A beloved box from Amazon and I knew it had to be my knife set. I almost opened it before Dan got home but didn't want to completely ruin the surprise (our anniversary isn't for another 2 weeks). So like the good wife I am I waited for an hour, barely being able to contain the excitement. The minute he walked in the door I grabbed the scissors, cut open the box to find this:
I'm as giddy as a school girl and can't wait to start cooking again.

And I do think it's totally appropriate to give/receive knives for an anniversary. The symbolism is just so -- so, sharp! ;)
