Dan and I just got tickets to go to London for Thanksgiving. Dan used to live in England when he was younger so it will be extra special for him to go back and show me around his old stomping grounds. I've never been to Europe so if any of have any ideas of what to do while we're there, let me know! I'm excited to go although it will be cold, but I'd much rather be on a tropical beach drinking pina coladas and getting a sun tan.

Where to go: Hyde Park and heckle the hecklers....visit the Tower of London and see the Crown Jewels, Slum (hang out) around Piccadilly Circus, walk the South Bank to London Bridge, see at noon Big Ben, Drop in and say high to the kids at 10 Downing Street, Check out _ALL- the book and map stores, ride a London Taxi (still quaint), visit Trafalgar Square and go shopping at Harrods and by all means hit Bond Street.....I could only afford a custom tailored woven linen tie but it was a classic and I wore it for 5 years. and......last......don't expect even kind of "great" food and you won't be disappointed. Remember your rain coats and umbrellas to carry with you ALWAYS.
Have fun....xoxox

Big Ben is under construction so don't be disappointed when it doesn't do anything. The temple is really cool, go see that. But remember: DC is cheap, so save your pennies and be prepared to sell your soul for some peanut butter (my suggestion is pack TONS of snacks. I lived off of Twix bars which were 2 for a pound in the subway station. Oh, and avoid the elevator to the subway at the Holland Park station.

I am so jealous! Wish we were going with you. Have a great time. That is some place I have never been but would love to go. Can't wait to hear all about it when you get back.
