Dan and I spent Father's Day at our friends' house, who happen to be from Syria. They are amazing cooks and treated us to a special Arabic dish. I must admit, I've never been much of an eggplant liker, but after this food I'm hooked on its deliciousness! Claudia gave me cooking lessons and I can't wait to make it myself. If you're lucky maybe I'll make it for you one day. By the way....Happy Father's Day Pop!

Hands down the worst pictures of me ever taken. Let that be a lesson to you married folks... never go into a gathering of friends in the midst of a marital "disagreement," and let your spouse wield the camera. That only equals unflattering shots posted on a blog the next day!
Excuses...excuses...excuses...

Wow, that food looks so good. Now that she gave you classes, can you reproduce those dishes?! You'd be an awesome cook to be able to do it. :)
